About this policy
This pre-launch framework describes the intended handling of personal information by Pampering Pooches. Confirmed business identity, privacy contact details and operational disclosures will be added before customer information is collected through new contact or newsletter services. We do not assume or represent that a particular Privacy Act exemption or obligation applies without reviewing the business circumstances.
Information used for ecommerce
When relevant services are active, information may include your name, contact details, delivery and billing addresses, order and cart details, customer account information, enquiry correspondence and technical information such as device, network and browsing data. Payment information is handled through the selected payment process; the exact handling of that information will be disclosed once configured.
The development shopping bag currently communicates cart selections with Shopify and stores a cart reference in your browser so the bag can be restored. Purchases, customer accounts, newsletter collection and contact-form submission are not currently enabled.
Why information may be needed
Information may be used to process payments and orders, arrange fulfilment and delivery, provide customer service, maintain accounts where enabled, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations and improve the store. We will collect only information reasonably needed for the relevant purpose.
Marketing emails will only be sent where consent has been provided, with a way to unsubscribe. A customer enquiry is not treated as marketing consent. Newsletter signup remains inactive until a real email service is configured.
Shopify and other service providers
Shopify provides the catalogue and cart platform. When commerce services are enabled, relevant information may also be shared with payment processors, fulfilment partners, shipping carriers, customer-service providers and consent-based email services as needed to provide those services. No other specific platform or supplier is represented as selected.
Analytics and advertising technologies may be introduced only after the tools and required notices or choices are configured. Selected providers, data uses and any overseas processing locations will be reviewed and disclosed before those services are activated. Service providers may have their own privacy policies, including Shopify at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.
Security and retention
Reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and services will be used. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Retention periods and disposal procedures will be finalised to reflect operational needs and applicable legal requirements; no unconfirmed retention period is stated.
Your choices and privacy enquiries
You may contact us to ask about your information, request access or correction, withdraw marketing consent or raise a privacy concern. Requests will be handled subject to applicable law. The designated business privacy contact and complaints procedure must be confirmed before launch.
Where applicable, unresolved privacy concerns may be raised with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. This policy will be updated when business details, service providers and data practices are confirmed.
